I have been teaching since August 2017 and currently serve as a high school English and journalism teacher at a rural, Title I school in Northwest Louisiana. I am also the yearbook adviser, guiding students through the creative and technical process of documenting our school’s story each year. I truly love my job and the incredible students I work with every day. For me, teaching goes beyond the classroom—it’s about building meaningful relationships that foster trust, growth, and a positive learning environment. In a small community, those connections make all the difference.
