Planting Seeds of Success…Everything in life grows from a seed the harvest comes when my students grow
I am currently a First grade teacher at a Title 1 school here in Shreveport, LA. I believe in planting seeds of hope joy love kindness peace and overall success. I try to create a safe space for my students because I’m aware of the struggles and challenges they face each and every day. I was born and raised in those neighborhoods as well. I had one teacher in high school to truly understand me and believe in me. I strive everyday to be that same teacher for my students. I believe people don’t care how much you know until you show them how much you care and that’s when true learning comes to life. Although life presents its own challenges having the material that you need should not be one of them. I want my students to experience hands on learning and be a child even if it’s for a little while we’re going to make learning engaging and enjoyable with Ms. Lewis.
