Severe/Profound Special Education Teacher
I teach a self-contained class for students with severe to profound disabilities at a Title I middle school, serving up to 12 incredible learners. Many are medically fragile or require significant support. Each student learns in their own unique way, and we celebrate every small victory. Though the work is challenging, I couldn’t imagine teaching any other group. They inspire me daily, and it’s a privilege to support and advocate for them.
