My name is Mrs. Mendoza and I teach in Immokalee, Florida, and have been an educator for about seven years. As an immigrant who once didn’t speak English, I was inspired by caring teachers who helped me succeed and become a first-generation college graduate. I now strive to create a safe, inspiring space for my mostly low-income, migrant students. Donations will directly support their learning and growth in our classroom.
