Hello! My name is Katie and I am starting my 3 year of teaching. I teach high school English interventions. This year I am starting teaching our literacy intervention pilot program. It’s for high school students who read below a grade 7 level, with most reading at an elementary level. Normally, these students are likely to fail English. If they fail that course, they are incredibly likely to drop out of high school. The goal is to keep these students in school by giving them confidence. My wishlist is almost entirely books. This is to encourage them to start to enjoy reading. These books will change their lives. Thank you so much for choosing to help me and my classroom. Your generosity humbles me!
