Hello, I am a 5th grade teacher in a Title 1 school. We are located in a rural
town of Mt Vernon, IN. This is my 10th year teaching. I teach 5th grade math to
all three sections of 5th grade. My homeroom class is an inclusion classroom.
This means that upto half of my class can have a disability of some sort. I
teach them on grade level material, but some get extra help or accommodations.
Not only do I teach math to my homeroom class, but I also teach science,
English, spelling, and writing. As a teacher out PTO will reimburse each
licensed staff member up to $100 a year. As you can imagine this doesn't go
very far. I would love to help expand my library and cozy spots for reading to
help my students enjoy reading. We have a lot of students who do not have book
available outside of school, so this helps build the library that they can read
from. I also feed snack in my classroom daily around 10:45. This snack helps
hold them over until lunch at 12:25. Thank you for any help to my classroom.
