4th Grade Rocks
I am a 4th grade teacher in Northeast Columbia, SC. This coming school year will be year 23 for me, over the years, I have strived to provide a safe and inclusive classroom setting for all of my students. Having taught in low income, high poverty inner city schools and now a high military presence school, being near Fort Jackson, I want all of my students to feel welcomed and accepted for who they are. Many of my students have spent most of their lives moving around due to military life or simply moving from family member to family member due to economic struggle. Because of this, my classroom serves as a safe space. Over the years, most items in my classroom have been solely funded by myself but as the economy and life changes, I am not always able to provide my students with what is needed. I appreciate any help that I receive in helping my students achieve greatness.
