Every child that walks through my classroom door like my own child. I have been teaching in Title I schools for 18 years. This year, I will be moving into a new classroom with windows, which is a big deal to me. Much of my wishlist centers around my needs for this new space. My students come from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds and cultures. More importantly to me, each child has a different home situation and I want to ensure school is a safe haven for students. The atmosphere needs to be warm and loving for them to feel safe to learn and be themselves. Any help is appreciated as I transform my new space into classroom that feels like a home away from home for them.
